The Marketing Major: As a field of study, marketing concerns itself with all the activities that occur between the production and the consumption of goods and services. Marketing students learn about product development, advertising, promotion, pricing, retailing, consumer decision making, legal aspects of marketing, global marketing, and marketing research.
Employers of marketing majors include large business and industrial firms but also smaller companies, private research organizations, and advertising agencies. Retail and wholesale trade, insurance, travel, and real estate are other areas where your training can open up job opportunities.
