Rutgers Accounting Society (RAS)
The Accounting Society offers activities including workshops in resume preparation, how to prepare for a job interview, the Volunteers in Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program and how to successfully prepare to take the CPA examination. Representatives from major accounting firms, CPA review courses and private industry, are invited to speak and answer questions pertaining to today’s job market as well as speak on what things are happening in the accounting field in general. Alex Sannella serves as the adviser.
Rutgers Finance & Economics Club
The mission of the Finance & Economics Club is to design a club for students interested in furthering their education outside of the classroom and establishing contacts about and within the finance and economics industry. The club also aims to better prepare students entering the job market by establishing an understanding of how to achieve their interest and objectives. Professor Peter Loeb serves as the adviser.
Marketing & Management Society (MMS)
The Marketing/Management Society offers a wide variety of events that are tailored to help students who have an interest in pursuing a career in business. Both professors and industry leaders present and lead programs. In addition, this organization offers workshops in resume writing, how to dress for the profession and mock interviews in addition to many other activities that gives valuable insight on careers and the job market.
National Association of Black Accountants (NABA)
The Rutgers Newark Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants has the largest student support in the state of New Jersey. NABA continues to work on campus for the betterment and edification of all students in any major. Its emphasis on character building, ethics, morality and professionalism has helped students gain the respect and competence needed to maintain that competitive edge in the business environment. LaToya Battle-Brown serves as the campus adviser.
Association of Latino Professionals in Finance & Accounting (ALPFA)
The Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) is the leading professional association, consisting of 35 professional chapters and 53 student chapters across the United States and Puerto Rico. ALPFA is dedicated to enhancing opportunities for professionals & students in the accounting, finance, and related professions. Membership is open to anyone who shares our values, mission, and principles
ALPFA also recognizes the financial challenges faced by students to fund their undergraduate studies. We are dedicated to assisting students pursue and complete their higher education degrees in accounting and finance. In collaboration with various corporations, we award scholarships on a local basis ranging from $500 to $1,500, and on a national basis ranging from $1,500 to $5,000. Students are selected based on academic achievement, financial need, community service, and active membership with our organization.
ALPFA is well positioned to assist Fortune 500 companies and the Big 4 accounting firms to recruit, retain, and develop professional & student talent in finance, accounting, investments and related business functions. Arron Gibbs serves as the adviser.

National Asian American Society of Accountants (ASCEND)
The Rutgers-Newark chapter of ASCEND (formerly National Asian American Society of Accountants) is under ASCEND National, a not-for-profit entity established in 2004, aiming to continuously influence and encourage the development of accounting professionals, finance professionals and students while serving as a collective voice for the Asian and Pacific Islander communities in the field of accounting and finance. Our mission is to provide and enhance opportunities for students who are seeking a more practical sense of business, internship & employment, network with professionals, and become leaders in their respective fields of study.

Management Information Systems Association (MISA)
MISA is an organization that is dedicated to giving students a chance to connect with each other and share the knowledge of MIS. A better understanding of MIS will offer students a more defined career path. The opportunity to network with professional speakers in the MIS field may open potential doors for our members with numerous corporations, firms, and organizations.

Future Business Leaders of America -
Phi Beta Lambda (PBL)
Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda is a nonprofit 501(c)(3)education association with a quarter million students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields. FBLA-PBL is the largest business career student organization in the world. The high school division has 215,000 members, while the postsecondary division reaches over 11,000 college students. The newest group, FBLA-Middle Level, is showing remarkable growth with nearly 15,000 student members. Finally, the Professional Division has reached over 3,000 members. Over 11,000 advisers round out the group. Exclusive membership and career recognition programs are designed for each division to provide additional personal and chapter development opportunities.
