RESUME
LENGTH
Unless you are applying for a top-level position, your resume should fit
onto a single page. Keep in mind that your resume is not meant to be a
comprehensive , detailed history of your career, but summary of your experience,
qualifications and skills. Font size should be a minimum of 10 and a maximum
of 12. Margins should be between .5 and 1.5 inches.
PAPER
SIZE, COLOR & QUALITY
Use standard 8 1/2" x 11" white or off-white, 24 pound resume
paper.
PRINTING
Find the best quality printing process available. It is not recommended
to make copies of your resume on a photocopier.
PROOFREADING
IS ESSENTIAL
Whether you typed it yourself or paid to have it produced professionally,
mistakes on resumes can be embarrassing and cost you interviews, particularly
when something critical (such as your name) is misspelled. So proofread
it carefully. See a Career Counselor during walk-ins or make an appointment
to have your resume reviewed.
