MATHEMATICS
The Applied Mathematics major is offered jointly by the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Rutgers-Newark and the Department of Mathematical Sciences, NJIT. The program is designed to provide students with preparation for employment in technology-based industries or graduate study in a number of scientific fields, including applied mathematics and mathematics.
Teaching Certification: Students seeking teacher certification in Mathematics must complete the requirements for a major Mathematics as well as satisfy other requirements for certification.
